Jeffrey A Lenhart, 1951 - 2017
Jeffrey A. Lenhart, age 66, died on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at 8:10 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems.
He was born on June 26, 1951 in Kenton, Ohio to the late James and Dorothy (Webb) Lenhart.
He was a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office. He was a member of the Alger First United Methodist Church. Jeffrey was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served from May 21, 1970 to May 20, 1974. He was a member of the Latham Lodge #154 F&AM of Kenton. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He loved his dog Elmer Fudge.
Jeffrey is survived by his two brothers: James Michael (Patricia) Lenhart of Ada and Christopher (Bonnie) Lenhart of Shady Side, MD; a sister, Terri (Steve) Andrews of Lima; five nieces and nephews: Steven Andrews, Holly Andrews, Heather Andrews, James (Aaron) Lenhart and Brian (Kristen) Lenhart; and four great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 29, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Pastor Courtnie Morton officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger with graveside military honors conducted by the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. A Masonic service will begin at 7:30 PM on Thursday at the funeral home, the service will be conducted by the Latham Lodge #154 F&AM of Kenton.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
