One more look at 2017 - part 2
Here's a selection of 2017 Ada Icon photos taken by Monty Siekerman, Ada Icon editor/writer/photographer. He chose one photo for each month because of its news worthiness or because he just liked the picture. January-June are shown today.
• July - Crafton Beck directs the Lima Symphony Orchestra for a patriotic pops concert on the lawn at Ohio Northern.
• August - The Farmers and Merchants Picnic, one of the longest-running festivals in Ohio begins with a parade down Main Street.
• September - The ever-popular Harvest and Herb Fest as seen from the roof of the Liberty National Bank. Lots of food and lots of things to open your wallet for draws a large crowd annually.
• October - President Dan DiBiasio, speaking to the media, stands in front of a drawing of the $30 million Engineering Building during a ceremonial groundbreaking in October. Construction will begin in earnest this spring.
• November - Connie Fleming, Ada Citizen of the Year.
• December - Candy Cane Tour at the Milks home (shown here) and The Inn in Ada, plus five locations near Kenton.
