ONU law school host to Court of Appeals hearings
The Ohio 3rd District Court of Appeals will hear oral arguments in two cases at the law school on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
The first case, Criminal, The State of Ohio vs. Nathan S. Brown (Hancock County), is an appeal involving a conviction and sentence of involuntary manslaughter and corrupting another with drugs.
The second case, Civil, Cintas Corporation vs. Findlay Chrysler Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Inc. (Hancock County) is an appeal involving a breach of contract, specifically under the liquidated damages clause.
The Hon. John R. Willamowski, JD ’85, will be the presiding judge. The remaining two panel judges will consist of either the Hon. Stephen R. Shaw, JD ’75, the Hon. William R. Zimmerman, BA ’75, JD ’79, or the Hon. Vernon L. Preston.
