LIMA - The Ada wrestling team finished tied for ninth at the 18-team Lima Senior Spartan Invitational Saturday.

Senior Chase Sumner posted the top Bulldog finish by coming in third in the 145 lb. division. He lost to eventual bracket champ Collin Mell, a senior from Bath, in the semifinals.

But Sumner bounced back to take the third-place match over senior Casey Lawrence of Little Miami at 2:51 by pin.

Bulldog freshman Colton Biederman (106) and senior Xander White (182) took fifth place in their divisions. Senior Ada Bailey (285) and freshman Cameron Bober (138) took sixth in their brackets.

Little Miami won the team crown with 306.5 points, while Ada tied with Greenville (76) for ninth.
