NORTH ROBINSON - The Ada girls and boys swim teams both posted strong showings at the second annual North Central Ohio Swim League championship meet hosted by Colonel Crawford at the William Ferrell Natatorium this past Saturday.
The Lady Bulldog swimmers came in third out of eight teams, while the Ada boys finished a solid fourth.
Ada senior Zach Beaschler led the Bulldog boys with a pair of first-place finishes. Beaschler took first in both the 100 and 200-yard freestyle races.
Ada sophomore Klava Katayama came in second in the 100 butterfly and finished third in the 100 free to pace the Lady Bulldogs.
"I am really impressed that the boys were able to compete as well as they did wth only five boys swimming," said Ada head coach Tanner Holke.
"The girls also improved one place from last year, with many of our girls being firstyear swimmers," he added.
The host Colonel Crawford team won the girls title with 352 points, while Upper Sandusky captured the boys league crown with 359 points.
Ada swims in a dual meet at county rival Kenton Tuesday, January 30.
