Thomas R. Hattery, 1942 - 2018
Thomas Hattery, age 75, died on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 4:35 a.m. at his residence in Lima, Ohio.
Thomas was born on May 25, 1942 in Alger, Ohio to the late Leo F. and Virginia L. (Armstrong) Hattery. On April 8, 2005 he married Kathaleen (Cox) Hittle and she survives in Lima.
Thomas was a retired cook from The Huddle Restaurant and formerly worked at the Kewpee East in Lima.
Surviving are a son: Anthony (Tana) Hattery of Beaverdam; four step-sons: Chad (Lisa) Hittle of Lima, Gabriel (Tabithia) Hittle of Marion, Joshua (Tina Horton) Hittle of Lima and Joseph (Melissa) Hittle of Lima; 18 grandchildren: Brennon Hattery, Caleb Hattery, Amanda Hattery, Tia Treen, Tyler Treen, Cheyenne Treen, Mercediez Hittle, Meaghan Hittle, Keaten Hittle, Korey Hittle, Ian Hittle, Zachary Hittle, Ethan Hittle, Steven Hittle, Brandon Hittle, Gabrielle Hittle, Zander Hittle, Camillia Hittle and great grandson, Caden Hattery.
Also surviving are 6 brothers: Steve Hattery of Lima, Larry (Linda) Hattery of Alger, Jerry Hattery of Kenton, Tim Hattery of Harrod, Kevin (Bev) Hattery of Findlay and Rick Hattery of Ada; and 1 sister: Linda Angles of Zanesville, Ohio; and 2 sisters-in-law: Ann Hattery of Kenton and Donna Hattery of Alger.
Thomas was preceded in death by: 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter; 3 brothers: Kenneth, Rodney and Terry Hattery and 1 sister: Dorleen Dearth.
Funeral services will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Pastor James Massengill officiating. It was his wish to be cremated following the service.
Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the benevolence of the family c/o Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, P.O. Box 41, Alger, Ohio 45812.
