DELPHOS - Ada senior Maddie Gossard was named honorable mention All-Northwest Conference in girls basketball by the league coaches in voting recently conducted at the annual selection meeting in Delphos.

Gossard led the Bulldogs in scoring, rebounds and three-point field goals made. The 5-8 wing will attend Heidelberg University next fall and play softball.

Senior Paige Motycka of second-place Crestview repeated as a first team all-league selection and was named NWC Player of the Year.

The Lady Knights finished in a three-way tie for second with Bluffton and Spencerville at 6-2, a game behind Columbus Grove.

Brian Schroeder, who guided Columbus Grove (7-1) to its second straight outright league title, was namd NWC Coach of the Year again.

Ada finished 0-8 in the NWC and 4-17 in the regular season.
