Lydia E Brown, 1928 - 2018
Lydia E. Brown, age 89, died on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 2:45 a.m. at the Lima Manor, Lima, Ohio.
She was born on April 27, 1928 in Warrenville, South Carolina to the late McDuffy and Josephiene (Lowe) Freeman. On May 14, 1945 Lydia married Robert L. Brown and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1996.
Lydia was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ada VFW Post #9381 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her eight grandchildren: Lori (Junior) Ramos, Susan (Todd) Sigman, David (Brandy) Sellers, Jason Brown, Aaron (Amber) Brown, Aimee (Sam) Hayrynen, Dennis Brown Jr and Emma (Bruce Vogan) Brown; twenty-seven great grandchildren: Tyler Watson, Alyssa Baldazzo, Isaiah Ramos, Jonuh Ramos, Johanna Ramos, Jolea Ramos, Moises Regalado, Noah Regalado, Danae Salyers, Joey Sellers, Michael Sigman, Max Sigman, Harley Shaw, Jimmie Sellers, Jordan Sellers, Afton Brown, Darian Brown, Tyler Brown, Luke Brown, Taylor Brown, Kahliel Hayrynen, Aniyah Hayrynen, Elijah Brown, Hope Brown, Xzavier Brown, Emily Brown and Zander Brown; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Lydia was preceded in death by her children: Harold T. Brown, Robert D. Brown and Kathy Fenton; and four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Pastor Junior Ramos officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita’s Hospice of Lima.
