Ada Daisies and Brownies celebrate
By Monty Siekerman
The Daisies and Brownies in Ada celebrated the 106th birthday of Girl Scouts on Sunday evening with a “slumber party” in McIntosh Center.
It wasn’t an “all nighter” for the children since it ended at 8 p.m., but the youngsters enjoyed a movie and popcorn.
The kids brought their stuffed animals and blankets to watch the movie “Sing.” The Daisy Troop has 15 members and is led by Alexandria Lacombe. Leaders of the four-member Brownie Troop are Kristi Montgomery and Jessica Keckler.
The Girl Scouts meet twice a month from the start of school until April. Those interested in signing up their child for next year may email [email protected] for information.
