March comes in with nearly 2 inches of rain...
By Monty Siekerman
“If March comes in like a lion, it will go out as a lamb,” says weather folklore. Thursday, March 1, in Ada saw nearly two inches of rain, wind gusts to near 40 mph, then snow, which all qualify as roaring-lion weather. We can look forward to weather like a docile lamb by month’s end. No lyin.
If you don’t believe that March weather forecast, pick one of these:
• A dry March and a wet May? Fill barns and bays with corn and hay.
• As it rains in March, so it rains in June.
• March winds and April showers? Bring forth May flowers.
• So many mists in March you see, so many frosts in May will be.
