Two 7th grade teams from Ada advanced to the state Science Day in Columbus.
Dylan Hartman and Logan House advanced and also won the district engineering award. Their project was titled “Do Bearings Reduce Friction?”
The other team advancing is Amelia Alexander and Miranda Wibbing with the project "Water Transportation.” They also received the B-Weiser award at the district fair.
ONU hosted the district Science Day on Saturday morning with more than 85 displays shown by students from 10 area counties, including a number from Ada, which is only a stones throw away from where the competition was held in Mathile and Meyer science halls.
Students in grades 5-12 were eligible to enter projects. About 40 of the students will advance to state which will be held May 12 at OSU.
