An afternoon of gospel music
By Monty Siekerman
The Ohio Northern University Gospel Ensemble will present its annual spring concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, in the McIntosh Center ballroom. The event is free and open to the public.
Guest conductors for this year’s concert includes former Gospel Ensemble members who have shared their talents in various music ministries. Guest musicians include Christopher Jordan, Casanova Green and David Williams, the son of a founding member of the ensemble.
The ONU Gospel Ensemble, which was founded in 1987, presents contemporary gospel music, much of which is sung acapella. The group, which is under the direction of ONU Vice President for Student Affairs Adriane Thompson-Bradshaw, performs at several area churches throughout the year.
