Bands, choirs perform Tuesday
The Ada 5th, 6th, and Junior High Bands as well as the 6th grade and Junior High Choir will perform their final concert of the year on Tuesday, May 8 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. The program is free.
In addition to the large ensemble performances, junior high and high school instrumentalists will perform solo and ensemble selections throughout the evening.
The Junior High Choir will sing Simple Gifts with soloist Dexter Woods,
Man in the Mirror, and Rocky Top.
The 6th grade band will perform selections from Star Wars, The Sound of Music, and Harry Potter. Junior High Band selections include the theme from Sponge Bob Square Pants, To Conquer the Kraken, and the Red Masque.
6th grade vocal music selections include Jesu Ni Wangu, and Brave/Roar
Mash-up.
The grand finale will feature the combined 6th grade, Junior High and High School bands, as well as members of the Ada staff and faculty presenting Vision Quest. Vision Quest was commissioned and paid for by the Ada Music Boosters.
Tabitha McPeeks is the 5th grade band director, Scott Henning serves as
the vocal music director, and Jonathan Lischak is the instrumental music
director.
