Bulldog netmen sweep Fostoria

FOSTORIA - The Ada boys tennis team whipped Fostoria 5-0 Monday evening on the road.
The Bulldog netters improved to 8-1 with the one-sided victory, their fifth 5-0 sweep of the season.
Senior Zach Beaschler improved to 12-0 this spring with a double-bagel blowout at first singles.
Sophomore Isaac Spar also won 12 games without a loss to grab his first win at second singles.
Gabe Hassan won at third singles by forfeit.
The first doubles tandem of freshman Miranda Wills and soophomore Nathan Hurtig won in straight sets.
The tandem of seniors Acel Gamble and Adam Bailey swept all 12 games to breeze to victory at second doubles.

1st singles: Zach Beaschler (A) defeats Isaac Morton 6-0, 6-0
2nd singles: Isaac Spar (A) defeats Braden Finsel 6-0, 6-0
3rd singles: Gabe Hassan (A) wins by forfeit
1st doubles: Miranda Wills/Nathan Hurtig (A) defeats Weston Weimerskirch/Kasey Finsel 6-4, 6-0
2nd doubles: Acel Gamble/Adam Bailey (A) defeats Justin Mayberry/Shane Sonders 6-0, 6-0
Ada hosts Celina Tuesday, May 1 at 4:30 p.m. "It is our last home match of the season against a very good Celina team," noted coach Christy Beaschler. "We will honor our three seniors (Beaschler, Gamble and Bailey) before the match."
