Concert for youngsters
The Ohio Northern University Department of Music will present the Ohio Northern Symphony’s “Interactive Family Concert” at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 5 in the Freed Center. An “instrument petting zoo” will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the Freed Center Lobby.
The concert will be conducted by music director Travis Jürgens. Concert activities are designed for preschool through early elementary students, but attendees are encouraged to bring the entire family--infants through grandparents.
The program will include singing, moving, and listening to the music of Prokofiev and Bernstein, while learning about the instruments and exploring musical elements. The concert will be a great way to enjoy music as a family.
All tickets $5. The Freed Center box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Phone orders are accepted with American Express, MasterCard, VISA or Discover by calling 419-772-1900. Tickets also are available online at ticketing.onu.edu.
