The hanging gardens of Ada
By Monty Siekerman
Village employees Eli Sexton and Cheryl Geer install 28 hanging baskets of vining petunias on light poles along Main Street on Wednesday.
By fall, the baskets will be dripping with color with varieties named fuchsia, bubblegum and silverberry.
The show will extend from the United Methodist Church south to College Avenue.
ONU put up hanging baskets in front of Dukes and Lehr buildings last week in time for last Sunday’s commencements. Anyone wanting to donate more baskets for Ada next year may call Village Administrator Jamie Hall for details.
