It's all about a 15-month-old Ada girl
By Monty Siekerman
The Biker Strong Association will help Azraella, a 15-month-old child who lives in Ada and is suffering from cancer, with a benefit on Saturday, May 19, at the Ada VFW. And, you don’t have to have a motorcycle to help.
Azraella, the daughter of Keara Downing, is suffering from ALL, acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She has been treated in Toledo since her diagnosis last October. She is in the high risk group for this type of cancer.
She and her mother plan to attend the benefit, but that depends on the child’s condition in mid -May. In any case, a majority of her family will be on hand.
Members of the Association will gather together at the VFW Post at 10 a.m. and head out at noon. There will be giveaways at every stop.
The cost of riding is $10 per rider and $15 with a passenger. The meal and raffle tickets are included. Nonbikers are welcome with the meal by donation. All proceeds from the day go to Azraella.
