SEPT 2 MEDIA RELEASE__Ohio Northern University will celebrate its Homecoming & Reunion Weekend on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3 and 4, offering a full line-up of activities for alumni, students and the local community.

The weekend includes opportunities for alumni to reconnect with friends while enjoying campus and college tours, reunion gatherings, tailgating and much more. The weekend also includes many events open to the general public, including a parade, concerts and sporting events.

MEDIA RELEASE__Due to a scheduling conflict, the September 2025 meeting of the Park District Board for Liberty Twp., Hardin County, Ohio will be moved from the third Monday of the month to Monday, September 22 at 7:00 p.m.

Susan K. Sturgess-Meyers, age 60, of Ada, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at her home. 

She was born on May 9, 1965 in Lima, Ohio to Glenn and Sharon (Wahlie) Deringer.  Her father, Glenn survives in Bluffton and her mother, Sharon preceded her in death. On March 15, 2006 Susan married Brad Sturgess-Meyers and he survives in Ada. 

Also surviving is her son, Josh Sturgess-Meyers of Ada; brother, Robert (Carol) Deringer; and sister, Debbie (Jeff) Johnson. 

Susan worked for Whirlpool Corporation, Findlay as a safety coordinator.  

It was her wish to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The Liberty Township Trustees met in regular session on August 18, 2025. Present at the meeting were Gary Hall, Brad Hays, Jason Weihrauch and Patty Griffin.

Reports included Fund Status, work on computers, entering a cemetery deed book in the computer (2 of 23 are completed), ditch mowing and road cold patching.

The purchase of a Harley rake is being considered.

The next scheduled meeting of the township board is Monday, September 15.
