ONU senior Emily Richards (Delaware/Hayes) has been named a Google Cloud First Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America for the 2018 track and field season.

Richards, a Chemistry major, is now a 2-time First Team Academic All-American, earning the honor for the second consecutive season.

The senior capped her career at Ohio Northern with a historic final season that featured all-time Div. III records in the 800-meter run in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.

Emily was also a 4-time National Champion in 2018 and a 5-time All-American.

She ends her career as the most decorated athlete in school history, as a 9-time NCAA Champion and a 13-time All-American after sweeping the 800 and 1,500 for the fourth consecutive Championships meet.
