Darlene Carter, 1959 - 2018
Darlene Carter, age 58, died on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 12:07 a.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
She was born on November 10, 1959 in Lima, Ohio to the late Mitchell and Omalee (Patton) Bailey. On May 15, 1993 Darlene married Gary Carter and he survives in Lima.
Darlene was a homemaker and she owned her own cleaning service.
Also surviving are two sons: Matt Carter of Lima and Jeff Carter of Ada; two daughters: Alicia Schweda of Lima and Heather Carter of Lima; five grandchildren: Christopher Patrick, Thomas Gipson, Sophia Carter, Arrick Carter and Abigail Phillips; two great grandchildren: Riley Wreede and Kaiden Gipson; three brothers: Ronald Bailey of Lima, Dwayne (Liz) Bailey of Cairo and Michael (Patti) Bailey of Lima; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Shephard.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Pastor Thomas Dearth officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, P.O. Box 41, Alger, Ohio 45812 for the benevolence of the family.
