Bearcats stay unbeaten with NWC golf quad win

BLUFFTON - The Ada golf team competed in a tough four-team Northwest Conference match at the Bluffton Golf Course Tuesday.
Defending league champion Spencerville won with just 164 strokes. Bluffton shot 180 and Allen East was a close third at 184, with Ada fourth with 226 strokes.
Brevin Sizemore paced the Bulldogs with a nine-hole score of 54. Alex Morgan and Rob Alliosn each carded a 57 while Ethan Hull posted a 58.

Gavin Harmon of unbeaten Spencerville (10-0, 7-0 NWC) was match medalist with a score of 33. His twin Ethan finished second with a round of 40.
Carter Frey paced AE (1-4, 1-2 NWC) with a score of 43 to finish fourth individually in the field of 24 golfers. Mustang Nick Frey carded a solid 45.
Bluffton improved to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in league play after Tuesday's competition. Pirate Drew Wilson tied for second after shooting a 40.
Ada (1-9, 1-4 NWC) plays another four-team NWC event at Tamarac Golf Course Wednesday, August 15 with Lincolnview, Paulding and Spencerville.
Tee time is set for 4:15 p.m.
