Bonnie L. Cole, 1930 - 2018
Bonnie L. Cole, age 87, formerly of Alger, Ohio died on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 12:43 p.m. at Vancrest of Ada.
She was born October 11, 1930 in Bowling Green, Ohio to James and Blanche (Swindler) Neifer who preceded her in death. On January 21, 1950 Bonnie married Alan E. Cole who preceded her in death on August 9, 2007.
Bonnie retired from Columbia Gas of Ohio after several years. She was a member of the Alger First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and the former Three Arts Club, both of Alger. She was a former Scout leader. She served on the Alger Village Council for several years and was a member of the Alger Library Board.
She is survived by four sons: Craig (Toni) Cole of Hubert, NC, Rex (Sharon) Cole of Harrod, Chris (Rexanne) Cole of Dola and Randy (Sherrie) Cole of Alger; a daughter, Amy (Jeff) Sheldon of Ada; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and two sisters: Donna Nichelson of Alger and Juanita Lambert of Elmore.
It was Bonnie’s wish to participate in anatomical donation. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Rev. Calvin Waugh and Rev. Don Clinger officiating.
Friends may call two hours prior to the memorial service from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alger 1st United Methodist Church.
