Donna E. Murphy, 1932 - 2018
Donna E. Murphy, age 85, died on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 12:08 p.m. at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
She was born December 16, 1932 in Ingram, KY to the late Cilus G. and Mary H. (Golden) Brooks. On October 5, 1956 she married Billy Joe Murphy and preceded her in death on November 27, 2017.
Surviving are her daughter: Glada (Terry) Partin of Ada; a sister, Eula (Otis) Mason of DuPont; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Curt Murphy; a grandson, Joshua Murphy; 3 brothers, Homer, Oakley, and Silas Brooks; and two sisters, Odella Mason-Fuson and Maggie Janeway.
Donna retired from International Brake of Lima. She was a member of the LaFayette Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a Children’s Sunday School Teacher. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star #121.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21, at the LaFayette Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Donnie Smith and Rev. Perry Mason officiating. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery, LaFayette, Ohio.
Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 20, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, Ohio and 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution can be made to LaFayette Missionary Baptist Church.
