The Ohio Northern wrestling team wrapped up its regular season with a 21-14 loss at Heidelberg on Tuesday evening at Seiberling Gymnasium.

The Polar Bears finish 9-10 overall and 3-3 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Student Princes end their season at 8-8, 4-2.

Senior Gavin Nelson (Oregon/Clay) got ONU on the board with a 6-4 decision at 157 and senior Seth Meyer (Defiance) won by major decision 13-5 at 165 to make it 12-7.

Junior Clayton Davidson (Kirtland) then won by decision 7-1 at 174 to get the Polar Bears within 12-10.

Blanchard Valley Health System receives health care’s most wired award

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) received Health Care’s Most Wired award for 2017. This award is presented by the American Hospital Association (AHA) to hospitals that use technology to improve patient reach methods, provide easier access to care and operate exceptional patient portal systems. BVHS achieved these technological advances through the use of the MyHealth Patient Portal and Cerner. 

Ada Mayor Dave Retterer has endorsed Jon Cross for the 83rd Ohio House race in the Republican primary on May 8.

Cross said, “I am grateful for Mayor Retterer's personal support and have worked extremely well with the mayor and various county, township, city and village officials on economic and community development projects.“

Brit Rowe, ONU associate professor of art and design, will speak at Good Design Works sponsored by the University and College Designers Association May 21-22 at Youngstown State University. His presentation is titled “Sparking Environmental, Economic, Social, and Cultural Change through Graphic Design.” His talk examines how graphic designers use their skills and knowledge by using various strategies for community-based graphic design
