ONU law students study under sunny skies

Thursday afternoon TV weather forecasters warned of the possibility of a 20-inch snow starting Friday night.

I thought that the prudent thing for me to do is stop by the Walmart that I was passing to buy bread, milk, and a few more things to hold me over. It can take a long time for snow to melt in northwest Ohio in January.

To be fair, the weather person hedged: we might not get that much snow since the weather models were uncertain at that hour.

The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance will host the second annual student job and career fair from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, at Kenton High School Gym.

Schools participating include Ada, Hardin Northern, Kenton, Ridgemont, Riverdale and Upper Scioto Valley.  Nearly 500 graduating seniors will have the opportunity to apply for part-time and full-time positions, as well as summer jobs and internships

Inclement weather has forced changes in the Ohio Northern men's and women's swimming & diving meets with Kenyon and Mount Union this weekend.

The meet at Kenyon on Friday has been postponed with no make up date announced.

The key Ohio Athletic Conference meet with Mount Union has been moved to Sunday at 1 pm at the ONU Sports Center.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — The Ohio Northern wrestling team opened the Lycoming (Pa.) National Duals with a 23-12 loss to the College of New Jersey on Friday morning and a 30-12 loss to No. 18-ranked Wesleyan (Conn.) Fridayafternoon at the Lamade Gymnasium.

The Polar Bears (5-7 overall) will now wrestle Oswego State (N.Y.) at 4:30 pm on Friday to compete Pool C round-robin competition.

Senior Gavin Nelson (Oregon/Clay) picked up a 4-2 decision at 157 and senior Alex Bair(Centerville) won by 6-1 decision at 184 pounds for Ohio Northern against the Lions (6-2).
