Marilyn Reed holds the next picture to be painted at the monthly PaintNN at The Inn at ONU. The oil on canvas is titled "Snow Birdies." Marilyn's classes have become so popular that two classes are held some months. She is owner of Marilyn's Artistry, which can be found on Facebook. An auction of antique and collectibles of Helen and the late Gerald Brooks, Bluffton, is scheduled at The Old Barn Auction, State Route 224, Findlay, this weekend.
A sale preview is Friday, Dec. 29, starting at 5 p.m. The auction starts at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 30.

WAYNESFIELD - The Ada boys' and girls' basketball teams will compete in the inaugural "Border Battle" holiday basketball tournament Dec. 28-30 at Waynesfield-Goshen High School.
Local rivals Ada, Allen East, Upper Scioto Valley and host W-G will compete in the four-team tournaments, with eight games taking place over three days between the rival school's boys and girls varsity squads.
The event will culminate in the girls and boys title contests Saturday evening, Dec. 30.
