VAN BUREN - The Ada girls soccer team lost a road match to Van Buren Wednesday evening, 6-0.
The Lady Bulldogs fell to 3-6 with the defeat.
VB scored two quick goals late in the first half to take a 2-0 lead to intermission. The Black Knights then added four goals in half two, some in the final minutes, to win going away.
"We faced a very tough Van Buren team, but we played them very even for the first 35 minutes of the match," said Ada head coach Doug Poling.
"They put us more on the defensive in the second half," he continued. "We were able to keep them from getting a lot of shots off, but they managed to score."
VB out-shot Ada, 18-3.
Ella Poling served as goalkeeper and made a dozen saves.
The Bulldogs (1-1 NWC) are scheduled to host league rival Bluffton (2-1-5, 1-0-2 NWC) Saturday morning, Sept. 22 at 10 a.m.
