Ada girls whip Wildcats

DELPHOS - The visiting Ada volleyball team cruised to a straight-set win over Delphos Jefferson Tuesday night in a Northwest Conference battle.
The first-place Lady Bulldog spikers improved to 8-4 overall and 3-0 in the NWC with the 25-17, 25-15, 25-16 victory. It was their 19th straight win in league play over the past three seasons.
The Wildcats fell to 3-8 overall and 0-2 with the defeat.
Sophomore middle Megan Light knocked down 10 kills to help pace the offense.
Versatile junior setter Sidney Gossard passed out 20 assists, smacked five kills, made nine digs and served up a pair of aces. Senior libero Morgan Swick hustled up 10 digs and dealt four aces.
Senior hitter Rilan Conley knocked down eight kills and added a dozen digs. Kendal Guagenti served three aces.
Senior Raina England and sophomore Miranda Wills each came up with one block. Sophomore Aubrey Madison also contributed one block.
The Lady Bulldog reserves lost in two sets to the Wildcat JV.
Ada (3-0 home) hosts former league foe LCC Thursday night.
