Darlene J Sexton, 1950 - 2018
Darlene J. Sexton, age 68, died on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 4:30 a.m. at her residence in Rosewood, Ohio.
She was born on September 3, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Chester and Roxie (Dyer) Dyer. On August 17, 1974 Darlene married Roger Sexton and he survives in Rosewood.
Darlene retired from the U.S. Postal Service where she was a rural carrier. She attended the Church of the Nazarene in St. Paris, Ohio.
Also surviving are two sons: Bryan (Marie) Sexton of Rosewood and Aaron Sexton of Alger; three daughters: Beth Vanraveswaay of Harrod, Aarica Barret of Urbana and Christina Shrider of Lima; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and a sister, Maureen Scott of Lakeview.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Amy Sexton on February 14, 1976 and a sister, Marilyn Blake.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 14, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, and until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
