Ada boys 5th at NWC meet

SPENCERVILLE - The Ada boys cross country team finished fifth in the six-team Northwest Conference championship meet at Spencerville Saturday morning
Columbus Grove unseated defending league champion Lincolnview, winning the closely-contested boys team title by a score of 30 points to 33. Ada was fifth with 135 points, while Allen East was last with 157.
Ada senior Miguel Jordan finished 12th in the 87-runner field with a time of 17:58.2 to post the top purple and gold showing.
Bulldog sophomore Jacob Morgan ended up 38th with a time of 19:59.6.
Freshman Riley Ferguson came in 54th in a time of 20:50.2, one place ahead of junior teammate Michael Crouse. Crouse ended up 55th in 21:03.8.
Junior Hunter Wells finished 66th in 22:02.3.
Freshman Keegan Giddens was 79th in a time of 23:36.2. Senior Brice Ferguson came in 87th in 28:39.5.
Senior Alek Bowersock of Lincolnview won the boys race with a time of 16:53.8. Freshman Hunter Sidle led Allen East by finishing 25th in a time of 19:23.9.

Ada freshman Lauren Mullins finished 27th out of 49 girls runners with a time of 25:27.7. Bulldog senior Alexis Ennis came in 36th a time of 27:15.3.
Columbus Grove also nosed out Lincolnview to win the four-team NWC girls team crown, 36-44.
