Hard hat tours Saturday, Oct. 27
By Monty Siekerman
Do you want to take a peek at the new James Lehr Kennedy Engineering Building now under construction near English Chapel and Heterick Library? Hard hat tours will be offered between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27.
Visitors, including ONU’s Homecoming returnees, can get a glimpse of what is in store for future engineers who study here. The lobby area in the center of the building will be accessible for four hours on that Saturday. Work on the $30 million project has progressed rapidly since construction began in mid May. The large, three-story structure will be occupied next fall.
With the new facility, ONU will be able to educate twice as many engineers with the latest in equipment and collaborative learning. This is the largest project, in size and cost, ever undertaken in Ada.
