Dietary supplements have surged in popularity in recent years as more individuals turn to self-directed wellness routines. Common dietary supplements include vitamins, minerals, herbs, amino acids, and probiotics. Available in pharmacies, grocery stores, and online retailers, these products are marketed with promises of enhanced immunity, increased energy, and improved overall health. However, despite their wide availability and often appealing claims, dietary supplements are not without healthcare concerns. Many consumers are unaware of the potential risks associated with their use, particularly when taken without medical guidance.

Capping off a stellar career, Ada senior softball standout Jenna Bassitt was voted first team Div. VI All-Ohio in 2025 by the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association (OHSFSCA).

She became the first Bulldog softball player ever to be named first team all-state. She made second team All-Ohio in 2024.

Ada third baseman Maddie Gossard and catcher Sydney Newland were previously named second team all-state from the 2018 district title squad.

FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE__* WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan, and northwest Ohio. * WHEN...Until 8 PM Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly if they persist for several days in a row. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Cumulative effects of long-duration heat will likely cause significant impacts, especially since it is the first heat wave of the season. Low temperatures in the 70s will provide little relief, especially for vulnerable populations.
