Warn the Ada rooster

Ada’s famous rooster may be getting some competition, or maybe it should be on the lookout for its own well-being.

According to the Ada police report of April 5, the police received an animal call to Lima Avenue. It appears that a red fox was in the backyard of a residence with pups.

The Ada school board will meet at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 16, in the board meeting room for its regularly scheduled meeting.

This familiar Ada scene tells many stories. The photo is from the Ada Public Library photo history collection. It's the Pennsylvania depot in the early 1900s and the photo was courtesy of Viince Reichert.

Note some things that have changed, in addtion to the obvious steam locomotive.

Dr. Anne Lippert, 86, died on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at 2:10 a.m. at her residence in Ada, surrounded by her family.

She was born on Feb. 17, 1934 in Seattle, Washington, to the late Raymond and Eva (Doren) Lippert.  On May 7, 1977, Anne married Jeffrey M. Schulman and he survives in Ada.
