Jordan leads Ada runners at district CC meet

OTTAWA - The Ada boys cross country team competed in the 12-team Div. III district 1 meet at Ottawa Park Saturday, with one Bulldog advancing to the regional meet.
Lincolnview won the boys district 1 team title with 42 points. Ada came in 11th with 232 points, three points ahead of last-place Allen East (235). Upper Scioto Valley ended up ninth with 217.
Ada senior Miguel Jordan finished 16th in the 88-runner field with a time of 18:06.6 to qualify for regionals and post the top Bulldog showing.
Any individual not on a qualifying team who finished in the top 16 advanced to the Tiffin regionals.
Bulldog junior Michael Crouse ended up 41st in a time of 19:53.7. Freshman Keegan Giddens authored perhaps his best race, finishing 45th with a time of 20:20.7.
Ada freshman Riley Ferguson came in 65th in a time of 21:34.9.
His brother, senior Brice Ferguson, finished in 83rd place in his final race with a time of 27:07.6.
Junior Noah Fisher of Ayersville won the boys race with a time of 16:40. USV senior Brady Hipsher finished ninth in 17:36.4 to also make regionals.
Freshman Hunter Sidle paced AE with a 25th-place showing in 19:18.6.

Ada senior Alexis Ennis came in 64th out of 72 female runners in the Div. III district 2 race with a time of 26:23.9 in her final race for the Bulldogs.
Coldwater edged Columbus Grove to win the 10-team girls district 2 title with 49 points, just ahead of second-place CG with 55.
Grove junior Alyssa Ellerbrock won the girls district 2 race in a time of 19:18.7.
The Div. III Tiffin regional meet will be held Saturday, October 27.
