Signs of the time - election time
By Monty Siekerman
The Democrats haven’t won a lot recently...lost the last Presidential Election and Congress...lost the Supreme Court nominee fight...but in Ada they win the Nov. 6 general election “sign war” hands down when it comes to yard signs.
Here is a series of signs at one home on South Johnson Street. The next photo shows just two measly Republican signs in front of Pete Previte’s house on North Main (the Prevites traditionally post GOP signs in their yard prior to an election.)
What can you infer from the far greater number of Democrat candidates having yard signs this year? Democrats have more money for signs? Democrats think signs sway opinion? Democrats are more energized this time around?
Republicans think they have it in the bag and don’t need tp spend money on signs? Most yard sign makers are Democrats? What is your opinion?
