Highway Patrol announces online survey

Throughout the month of November, the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) is conducting an online survey to identify traffic safety concerns and obtain feedback about interactions with the agency.

“Fall Back” this weekend

Daylight Savings ends in the wee hours this Saturday-Sunday, November 2-3. Whether you change your clocks before you go to bed on Saturday or when you get up on Sunday, you’ll need to move them back one hour. The change officially takes place at 2:00 a.m. EST.

Clamshell plastics now part of Rumpke recycling

Rumpke Waste & Recycling has added a new acceptable item for recycling—clamshell plastic containers starting November 1, 2024.

Residents can now add clamshells to their recycling carts. This will include clear plastic carry-out containers; fruit, berry and lettuce containers and egg containers. For information on current guidelines, visit Rumpke HERE.

Veterans Day Bazaar offers lunch, dinner and raffles

On Monday, November 11, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 300 E. Highland, will host its annual Veterans Day Bazaar.

Lunch and dinner are dine in or carryout. Items for purchase will include homemade Buckeyes, peanut brittle, and pumpkin rolls. There will also be 50/50 tickets and a themed basket raffle.

The Bazaar provides a complimentary meal for all veterans.

Lunch - 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Ada ousted by Leipsic in playoff rematch

ADA – Costly turnovers and penalties plagued Ada in the second half of their Div. VII, Region 26 first round playoff rematch vs. league rival Leipsic on a chilly Friday night at War Memorial Stadium.

Obituary for Pamela Sue Craft

Pamela Sue Craft, age 77, of Ada, passed away at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima on Thursday, October 31, 2024, surrounded by her family. 

She was born on August 12, 1947 in Lima, Ohio to the late Walter and Marie (Taylor) Hites.  On January 2, 1971 Pam married Michael Craft and he survives in Ada.
