Libraries offer tech service
Libraries in Ada, Kenton, Dunkirk, Forest, and Mt. Victory will continue to offer tech service to patrons, thanks to a state library grant being renewed for another year. As in the past year, Chloe Noel will visit each library every week and, on occasion, offer classes.
During the past year, she answered questions from more than 1,000 patrons in Hardin County who came to her for help with iPhone, tablet, laptop, and computer problems with their software or hardware.
Here is her weekly schedule at the various libraries:
Monday, Mt. Victory, 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Forest, 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Ada, 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Thursday, Dunkirk, 1-8 p.m.
Friday, Kenton, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
She is a 2014 ONU communications graduate and has assisted with university Help Desk in the past.
Last year she also offered classes at the local libraries in such areas as Facebook, Microsoft Office, and genealogy.
Those with questions about how to turn photos into a slide show, how to delete items to save space, or many other questions can usually be answered by Chloe free of charge.
