A medication to treat diarrhea associated with Clostridioides difficile (C. difficile) is now approved for children.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Dificid (fidaxomicin) to treat children 6 months old and older who have diarrhea associated with C. difficile.

This medication was already approved in tablet form for adults. Now, it can be used in children.

Fidaxomicin is a type of antibiotic. It's available in tablet and suspension formulations. Both of these formulations are approved to be used in children.

Cody Cruzen has returned to his alma mater as an assistant football coach. He will coach the receivers and will serve as special teams coordinator.

Cruzen was in New Hampshire at Division II Saint Anselm (N.H.) during the 2018 season where he was the team's defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator. During his time out east he coached a pair of all-conference selections in the secondary and on special teams.

I got lucky that my program, I am a part of (The YEAR Program), has chosen it for me because otherwise, I’d do a bad job, just selecting the well-known one. Ohio Northern is a great place to study.

Board meeting staff notes are attached at the bottom of this story -
Ada school board approved several actions affecting the 2020-21 school year at its Feb. 20 board meeting.

In addition, it held a planning session with the discussion lasting for one hour and 17 minutes focusing on facilities, athletics and “miscellaneous” items.

During the meeting, the board entered three executive sessions. The first for 16 minutes, the second for 59 minutes and the third for 35 minutes.

Fred Steiner of the Ada Icon is the guest speaker at the Wednesday, Feb. 26, OWLS meeting in Ada.

The program is at First United Methodist Church with a noon luncheon followed by a talk by Steiner about the Ada Icon. 

The local news website was launched in March 2012. Today it experiences over 10,000 individual viewers in a 30-day period, has 70 advertisers, over 2,700 Facebook followers and posts an average of 50 stories each week.
