There's an Ohio State band alum in Ada. The Icon saw this plate in an ONU parking lot on a white Toyota.

The Ada fall sports awards program scheduled for tonight (Nov. 12)  has been postponed to a date to be announced. Also, all junior high  practices for tonight are canceled.

Snowfall on Nov. 11 reached 4.9 inches. Temperatures in the first 11 days of the month ranged from a high of 53 degrees on Nov. 6, to a low of 17 two days later.

At 7:41 a.m. Ada schools announced that school is cancelled for Tuesday, Nov. 12. Last night the school went on a 2-hour delay. The heavy and wet early winter snowfall is the cause.

Named First Team Academic All-District 7 by CoSIDA

Ohio Northern senior Haley Moses (Mason), junior Jenna Fuller (Countryside, Ill./Lyons Township) and sophomore Carissa Beckham (Mason/Mount Notre Dame) have been named First Team Academic All-District 7 in women's soccer for 2019 by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

The three student/athletes are now eligible for the Academic All-America team, which will be announced Dec. 3.

Moses is a mechanical engineering major and plays in the midfield.

She has started all 80 matches in her four-year career and has 11 goals, 20 assists and 42 points. Her 20 assists is tied for the 10th-most in school history.
