Bonnie Lou Pope 1932 - 2018
Bonnie Lou Pope, age 86, died on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 7:16 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born on August 14, 1932 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Walter E. and Wilamena (Folly) Zurcher. On April 17, 1965 Bonnie married Joseph Pope and he died on March 16, 2014.
Bonnie was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ada.
She is survived by four sons: Michael (Carol) Sumney of Lima, Mark (Donita) Sumney of Sarasota, Florida, Anthony “Rowdy” (Ramona) Sumney of Ada and Bradley Pope of Ada; two daughters: Judy (John) Daily of Bluffton and Tracy (Jerry) Boyer of Lima; three step sons: Daniel Pope of Lima, Joey (Linda) Pope of Ada and Johnny Pope of Missouri; a step daughter, Tammy (Bill) Downing of Findlay; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Miller of Ridgeway; two half brothers: Donald Collins and Douglas Collins both of Kenton; and a step brother, Donald (Ruth) Baker of Uniopolis.
Bonnie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jocelyn Sumney and a brother, Carl “Sonny” Zurcher.
Memorial services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11, at the funeral home.
