Emma Spradlin is celebrating her 101st Christmas this year. She enjoyed a meal, along with a daughter and granddaughter, during Vancrest’s annual holiday meal and gift-giving for residents on Wednesday afternoon. 

Emma was born in Salyersville, Ky., but spent most of her life in McGuffey where she and her late husband Frank farmed. They both worked at Hardin Memorial Hospital for many years, she in housekeeping and he as a janitor.
