Final review of proposed renovation/remodeling coming
By Monty Siekerman
What is the status of the proposed renovation and remodeling of the municipal building?
The village building and grounds committee will meet after the village council meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 8, to have one final review of the plans and costs before the project is let for bid. The council meeting and committee meeting are open to the public.
The municipal building will undergo a major overhaul for all village offices and the police department. In addition, an elevator will be added to the structure. Presently, there is no elevator access to the second floor where council meets. If someone with a disability plans to attend a meeting, council meetings are moved to the Railroad Depot.
