Katayama wins two races at Lima Holiday swim-vite

LIMA - The Ada swim teams competed at the annual, 21-school Lima Holiday Invitational meet Thursday, December 27 at the YMCA natatorium.
Ada junior Klava Katayama captured first in the 100 and 200-yard freestyle races to score all 40 Lady Bulldog points.
The purple and gold girls finished 15th out of 21 teams, while the Bulldog boys came in 17th out of 20 squads.
Shawnee won both the boys (372.5 points) and combined team titles (639). Ottawa-Glandorf won the girls team crown with 304 points.
Ada sophomore Paige Cole finished 17th in the 100 breaststroke (1:23.02) to just miss scoring by one place.
Bulldog junior Isaac Spar took 10th in the 100 butterfly and 16th in the 200 free to pace the Ada boys.
