Three lanes will open Dec. 14
Interstate 75 northbound between U.S. 224 and county Road 99, Findlay, will be traveling in three lanes by tomorrow morning's commute. (Friday, Dec. 14)
All four lanes of I-75 in both directions between Sandusky Street and U.S. 68/state Route 15 are currently traveling on the southbound side. By tomorrow morning northbound traffic, just prior to the U.S. 224 interchange, will be switched back over to the new three lanes on the northbound side.
Lane closures on I-75 in the northbound direction will continue tonight as crews work to place pavement markings to denote the new traffic pattern. Traffic will be restricted between 9 p.m. tonight until approximately 7 a.m. tomorrow morning after which all three lanes will open.
Southbound traffic will continue to travel in two lanes between U.S. 224 and county Road 99. By mid-January, the third lane southbound is expected to open.
The driving surface throughout the project is an intermediate pavement. The final driving surface will not be placed until finish paving occurs in 2020, the last year of the project.
