William Irvin Decker Sr 1943 - 2018
William Irvin Decker Sr., age 74, died on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 10:38 p.m. at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
He was born on December 27, 1943 in Alger, Ohio to the late Andrew and Elsie (Donnal) Decker. On December 31, 2001William married Sula Mullins and she survives in Alger.
William was a truck driver for most of his life. He loved his dog, Rascal.
Also surviving are three sons: William “Chip” (Christine) Decker Jr. of Harrod, Steven (Angela) Decker of Alger and Craig (Melissa) Decker of Alger; two daughters: Amber Decker-Webb of Alger and Tara (Michael Bowman) Decker of Alger; two step-sons: Tony (Elaine) Adams of Ada and Timothy Bailey of St. Marys; a step-daughter, Tamara Bassitt of Westminster; and fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Maryagnes Ash; a step-son, David Bailey; and an infant brother and sister.
It was his wish to be cremated. Inurnment will take place at McDonald-Fairview Cemetery, Kenton at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, P.O. Box 41, Alger, Ohio 45812 for the benevolence of the family.
