Dr. Amy Mullins elected Ada school board president
Dr. Amy Mullins was elected board president and Matt Gossman board vice president at the 2019 Ada school board reorganization meeting held Jan. 10.
The following board members represent the school district on board committees:
• Troy Erickson and Ron Fleming – policy committee
• Amy Mullins – student achievement liaison to the Ohio School Boards Association
• Ron Fleming – tax abatement committee
• Ernie Daughtery – scholarship committee
• Troy Erickson and Amy Mullins – audit committee
• Ron Fleming and Matt Gossman – building and grounds committee
The board set its 2019 monthly meetings for the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. in the board of education office. However, the February meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28.
The board moved into its regular January meeting where it approved the following items:
• Coordination agreement with Hardin County Emergency Management Agency
• Renewal of membership in the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance
• Approved a supplemental contract for Rebecca Dicke as head softball coach at $3,984.
• Approved memorandum of understanding between the Ada school board and Ada Education Association and Ada Classified Association.
• Approved Vicki Mills as a teacher substitute as needed
