James Masi was a retired from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office
James S. Masi, 61, died on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at 6:03 p.m. OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
He was born on March 30, 1957, in Findlay, Ohio, to the late James A. and Marianne (Cimini) Masi. On Feb. 16, 1980, James married the love of his life and lifelong companion, Terry Masi and she survives in Kenton.
James retired from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office where he worked as a deputy sheriff from 1980 to 2016.
Also surviving are his children: Raymond Driesbaugh of Kenton and Shannette Teneyck of Kenton; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a sister, Susan Masi of Kenton.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, with Pastor Courtnie Morton officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association
