Thalia Ann Sale taught history and government at Ada HS
Thalia Ann Sale, 81, of Newark, and formerly of Ada, died at Altercare Newark South on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019.
She was born in Ruston, Louisiana, on Dec, 15, 1937, to the late Damon Harbin and Precious (Hearon) Sale. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Schmidt. She is survived by a nephew, Brian (Hope) Schmidt; a niece, Tami Schmidt; a great-niece; two great-nephews; and several great-great nieces.
Ann received her Bachelor's in Education from Ohio Northern University and went on to teach both history and government at Ada High School. She was a member of the Retired Teacher's Association.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funers Hall, Kenton, with Pastor Thomas Dearth officiating.
Burial will follow in Dunkirk Cemetery. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service (11 a.m.-1 p.m.) Wednesday at the funeral home. \
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Humane Society of Hardin County and online condolences can be expressed by visiting stoutcrates.com
