Keli Trudeau wins Ada Rotary Four-Way Test speech contest
Keli Trudeau won this year’s Ada Rotary Club Four-Way Test speech contest held Feb. 19 by the club. Brooklyn Rudasill was runner-up.
Six Ada High School students from Melody Veltri's speech classes participated.
Student contestants were Anabel Alexander, Austin Amburgey, Brooklyn Rudasill, Kelsi Sarnesky, Sumaya Tasnim and Keli Trudeau.
The Four-Way Test Speech Contest is a project for students in grades 9-12 to bring the Rotary Four-Way Test to life in a 5-7 minute prepared speech.
Keli Trudeau moves on to represent the club at a District 6600 contest on March 23 at Niswonger Performing Arts Center, Van Wert.
The Rotary Four-Way Test is a non-partisan and non-sectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages and asks:
Of the things Rotarians think, say or do…
• Is it the TRUTH?
• Is it FAIR to all concerned?
• Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
• Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
