Ada school board acts on several contracts on March 26
Ada school board acted on several contracts on March 26. Some of that action follows, based on board minutes not yet approved. The complete set of unofficial minutes is attached at the bottom of this story:
• Approved a retroactive agreement with Auglaize County Educational Service Center for curriculum services, estimated at $20,000 per year. The ESC supports programs in nine Auglaize and Hardin county schools, including Ada, Minster, New Bremen, New Knoxville, Ridgemont, St. Marys, Wapakoneta, Waynesfield-Goshen and Auglaize County Educational Academy.
• Approved contracts for: Aaron Adkins, revised from co-junior high wrestling to junior high wrestling coach at $2,347, and for Greg Grimslid, revised from assistant high school track to volunteer assistant high school track coach.
• Approved classified substitute contracts for the current school year, to: Lori Poling and
Jenna Shaffer, both as substitute educational aide/secretary.
• Approved supplemental contract for the current school year to Kim Simon, assistant high school track coach, $2,173.
• Approved Jillian Snyder, Hannah Smith and David Haseleu, Ohio Northern University students, in the Partners in Education Program for the remainder of the school year.
• Approved Erin Swick, Regina Kitelinger, Jamie Wills, Scott Wills, Rochelle Conrade, Kelly Wells and Cody Hurley as volunteer drivers for the remainder of the school year
• Accepted the resignation of Jennifer Atha, part-time cafeteria worker effective March 19.
The board was in executive session three times during the meeting, from 6:01 to 6:15 p.m., 6:34 to 7:15 p.m. and 7:50 to 8:04 p.m.
